DESCRIPTION:Registration deadline is THURSDAY\, AUGUST 6\, 2020 AT 12:00 NOON CDT!!\n\nWelcome to our First Live Streaming Activity!\nThis course is designed for radiologists who find themselves challenged by the new practical issues of performing successful high-quality breast imaging in a changing medical environment. The integration of new breast imaging technologies with the traditional ones is the focus of a world-class faculty\, even in these challenging times.\n  \nGet Whova Now \n  \nALL TIMES LISTED ARE EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME.\n  \n\n\n  \nEDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES\nBy the end of this activity\, registrants will be able to: \n\nApply new and improved skills in perception to the interpretation of screening mammograms.\nDevelop strategies to counter the attacks on the performance of regular screening mammography in women beginning at age 40\, especially those at high risk for breast cancer.\nPerform a more comprehensive evaluation of screening-detected abnormalities\, including appropriate use of special mammographic views\, ultrasound\, MR\, and other modalities.\nAppraise the current status of interventional breast procedures\, especially core biopsy.\nDelineate the expanding role of Breast MR in everyday practice of breast imaging\, including its role in screening high-risk patients\, and the new role of abbreviated breast MR.\nAppreciate the role of Whole Breast Ultrasound and Contrast Enhanced Mammography in breast cancer screening.\nDiscern the burgeoning role of breast ultrasound as a screening and diagnostic tool.\nUnderstand the value of breast density in helping to establish breast cancer risk on imaging.\n\n  \nACCREDITATION\nThis live activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of the International Institute for Continuing Medical Education and X-Ray Associates of New Mexico\, P.C.
