SUMMARY:Contrast-Enhanced Mammography (CEM) Training
DESCRIPTION:Advancing Diagnostic Accuracy and Confidence in Breast Imaging\nContrast-Enhanced Mammography (CEM) combines the high-resolution detail of full-field digital mammography with iodine-based contrast to highlight areas of neovascularity\, offering a functional imaging alternative to MRI for breast cancer detection. This 1.25-hour live webinar provides an evidence-based overview of CEM principles\, image interpretation\, workflow integration\, and clinical application to improve diagnostic accuracy and confidence in women’s health imaging. Participants will explore how CEM can enhance lesion conspicuity\, support challenging diagnostic cases\, and streamline patient care—particularly in women with dense breast tissue or inconclusive screening findings. \nInstructional Objectives: \n\nExplain the physics and clinical principles underlying contrast-enhanced mammography.\nIdentify patient selection criteria and appropriate indications for CEM.\nInterpret CEM findings and correlate them with other imaging modalities.\nApply workflow and safety best practices for efficient implementation of CEM in clinical practice.\n\nTarget Audience: \nThis activity is intended for radiologists\, breast imaging fellows\, and imaging technologists involved in breast imaging and diagnostic mammography.\n \n\nSupporters:\nThis educational activity is supported by an unrestricted educational grant from Siemens Healthineers. \nDisclosure & Independence:\nIn accordance with the ACCME Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education\, all planners\, faculty\, and reviewers must disclose all financial relationships with ineligible companies. All relevant financial relationships have been mitigated. All content is developed and delivered independently by the faculty and iiCME in accordance with the ACCME Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education. \nAccreditation and Credit Designation\nAccreditation Statement (Direct Providership)\nThe International Institute for Continuing Medical Education\, Inc. (iiCME) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. \nCredit Designation Statement\nThe International Institute for Continuing Medical Education\, Inc. designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. \nImaging Technologists\nThis program is approved for 1.25 ARRT Category A Continuing Education Credits.\n(If approval is still pending at publish time\, swap to: “Technologist CE credit has been applied for; final approval and credit amount will be posted upon confirmation.”) \nConfirmation\nYou will receive a confirmation email.
