SUMMARY:Neuroimaging: Pros and Cons of Basic and Advanced Techniques
DESCRIPTION:This course is designed as a state-of-the-art imaging review of diseases that affect the brain\, spine\, and head and neck. An international faculty has chosen subject material that emphasizes their approach to solving clinically relevant problems involving these 3 areas. Traditional imaging as well as the benefits and caveats of advanced imaging techniques will be addressed when pertinent. Ample time for questions and discussion will be provided. \nEducational Objectives\nAt the completion of the course\, participants should be able to: \n\nBe familiar with the differential diagnosis and utility of conventional and advanced imaging to arrive at a diagnosis of the diseases of the central nervous system\, spine and head and neck.\nIntegrate the imaging of complex neuroradiology into a “clinical practice.”\nIntegrate information presented in the course into efforts to improve their imaging skills.\n\nTarget Audience\nThis program is designed for general radiologists and neuroradiologists. Neurologists\, neurosurgeons\, and otolaryngologists may also find the program beneficial as could allied health care professionals who desire an update on recent imaging advances and the use of imaging as an aid to clinical patient management for diseases of the brain\, spine\, and head and neck. \nAccreditation\nThe International Institute for Continuing Medical Education\, Inc. is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. \nDesignation\nThe International Institute for Continuing Medical Education\, Inc.\, designates this live activity for a maximum of [acf field=”iicme_course_credits”] AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. \n
