Course Description
This seminar is designed for clinical radiologists in private practice. It will focus on recent advances in cardiac CT and MR, emphasizing trends that will impact general radiologists. The course will offer a review of musculoskeletal MR of large joints and recent developments in breast imaging.
Course Objectives
At the conclusion of this course, the participant should be able to:
- Apply recently developed imaging techniques to their daily practice in breast, cardiac, musculoskeletal, and thoracic radiology
- Understand the evolving role of cardiac MDCT in evaluating coronary atherosclerosis and the acute chest pain patient
- Develop a practical approach for HRCT in lung disease assessment and MDCT for venous thrombo-embolism
- Implement strategies for imaging breast diseases using ultrasound, MR and digital mammography
- Review the use of MR in the knee, ankle, and shoulder
- Discuss the impact of MDCT and PET/CT on the management of the solitary pulmonary nodule
