This course is a four-day post graduate course in diagnostic radiology emphasizing new techniques in Body, MSK, Neuro and Head and Neck Imaging.
Educational Objectives
At the conclusion of this CME course the attendees will:
- Be able to recognize subtle abnormalities of the spinal column and spinal canal contents which have a great bearing on patient care
- Understand how to employ the newest MR techniques such as permeability imaging, susceptibility imaging, diffusion kurtosis, among other advances in MR
- Formulate a differential diagnosis for abnormal appearing bone marrow and how various MR sequences can assist in that differentiation
- Recognize very subtle and easily missed diagnosis in MSK radiology and Neuroradiology
- Gain an insight into the analysis of paranasal sinus and orbital lesions and how these should be reported to be of most help to the ophthalmologic surgeon or to the head and neck surgeon
- Offer a more exacting diagnosis of abnormalities involving the knee, hip, shoulder, ankle and wrist
- Understand the various ways in which patients with dementia can present relative to their imaging findings
- Formulate a differential diagnosis of cystic and solid pancreatic masses
- Understand the use of PIRADS 2 in evaluating prostate cancer
- Gain an understanding of cartilage mapping
Target Audience
The target audience is general radiologists or any radiologists with an interest in Musculoskeletal Radiology and Neuroradiology. Head and Neck Radiologists, Otolaryngologists, and Orthopedics, Residents, or Fellows or other allied healthcare providers.
