Educational Description

The WNRS Annual Meeting is designed to introduce clinically relevant advances in Neuroradiology and provide in-depth review of topics within Neuroradiology.  The meeting will feature Focus Sessions in Head and Neck, Advanced Brain Imaging, New Approaches to Spine Imaging, Interventional Neuroradiology, Pediatric Neuroradiology, as well as more General Medical Knowledge as it relates to Neuroimaging.

Letter From the President

Dear Friends and Colleagues of the WNRS:

I am pleased to invite you to attend the WNRS 50th Annual Meeting, October 11-14, 2018 at the amazing Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel Resort and Spa, in beautiful sunny Dana Point, California.

This will truly be a celebration of our 50 years as a Society.

The meeting will feature Focus Sessions in Advanced Brain Imaging, Stroke, Neoplasm, Head and Neck Imaging, Pediatric Neuroradiology, Spine Imaging and Interventional procedures.  I am grateful to the outstanding and internationally renowned faculty, who will be coming from both academic and private practice institutions, making the meeting a useful resource for both academicians and the clinical practitioners.  In addition to CME- and SAM- accredited content, there will be superb research presentations in the Scientific Oral Presentations sessions.

For our newer members and trainees, we will, once again, offer a Fellow/Attending Job Fair Social to introduce them to the superb WNRS members and mentors.  This will a great opportunity to network and to explore possible employment and collaborative opportunities.

Additional social/networking activities include the Opening Reception on Thursday, October 11 and the WNRS 50th Anniversary Grand Gala on Saturday October 13, 2018.  On Friday October 12, we have scheduled our annual WNRS Golf and Tennis Tournaments.  The Monarch Beach Golf Course will have you playing along the stunning Pacific coastline for the second year in a row!  The Tennis Tournament, held on the resort’s beautiful courts, promises to be a memorable experience.  These are great ways to catch up with friends and colleagues.  Both require separate registrations.

The Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel Resort and Spa has six great restaurants to experience.   The award- winning 108blu provides excellent cuisine with an ocean view.  If the surf, sun, or beach has taken its toll, there is an award-winning spa in which to luxuriate.  Nearby there are myriad outdoor and eco adventures to experience.

I look forward to welcoming you to this superb educational program in beautiful Dana Point, California.  We return to the origins of the WNRS in the place it all started.  Come celebrate our 50th year with a special tribute to our founding members and their families.

Respectfully,

Edward P. Quigley III, M.D., Ph.D,

WNRS President
