Letter From the President
Dear Friends, Colleagues, and WNRS Society Supporters:
I am pleased to invite you to attend the WNRS 51st Annual meeting, September 26-29, 2019 at the beautiful and newly renovated Coeur d’Alene Resort in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. The resort overlooks a stunning alpine lake and has many upscale amenities while maintaining a quaint, friendly downtown lakeside atmosphere.
President-elect Roland Lee, MD, FACR has put together a fantastic program with Focus Sessions in Spinal Oncology and Neuroradiological Interventions, Epilepsy, Spine, Enhancing Your Practice, Head and Neck Imaging, and Brain Imaging. I am deeply grateful to the outstanding and internationally renowned faculty who will be coming from both academic and private practice institutions, making the meeting a useful resource for both academicians and clinical practitioners. In addition to CME- and SAM-accredited content, there will be superb research presentations in the Scientific Oral Presentations sessions.

For our newer members and trainees, we will, once again, offer a Fellow/Attending Job Fair Social to introduce them to the superb WNRS members and mentors. This will be a great opportunity to network and to explore possible employment and collaborative opportunities.
Additional social/networking activities include the Opening Reception on Thursday, September 26 and the WNRS Grand Gala on Saturday, September 28. On Friday, September 27, we have scheduled our annual WNRS Golf Tournament at the Coeur d’Alene Golf course with the world’s only floating green. These are excellent ways to catch up with old and new friends.
This is by far my favorite meeting of the year. I very much look forward to seeing my neuroradiology friends and welcoming many new members to our cherished society.
Respectfully,
Hollie A. Lai, MD
WNRS President

- Become familiar with advanced brain imaging techniques such as advanced tumor and stroke imaging, functional MRI, and magnetoencephalography.
- Review head and neck pathology, and spinal pathology.
- Learn imaging strategies to help guide neurosurgeons in the treatment of epilepsy, and learn about the new tools those surgeons now routinely use.
- Gain an understanding of current stroke imaging, mimics, and treatment updates.
- Obtain In-depth understanding of artificial intelligence and compressed sensing and their daily implementation in your practice.
- Learn about the updated radiologist’s role in spinal oncology, and neuroradiological interventions for treatment and pain relief.
